REVIVE LAKE CATHIE CALLS FOR INCLUSION OF PORT MACQUARIE-HASTINGS
COUNCIL’S IDENTIFIED KEY LOCAL COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDERS IN GOVERNMENT STAKEHOLDER MEETINGS

5/12/2019 Revive Lake Cathie seeks inclusion of identified key local community stakeholders of the Lake Cathie/Lake Innes Estuarine System. Council identified key local community stakeholders as Revive Lake Cathie, Lake Cathie Progress Association and Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce since hosting a meeting to discuss and provide an overview of the Lake Cathie/Lake Innes Estuarine System on September 4, 2019.

Revive Lake Cathie has been requesting the inclusion of key local community stakeholders in Government stakeholder meetings since July 8 2019 at a meeting held between Revive Lake Cathie Board and Port Macquarie-Hastings Council’s General Manager, Craig SwiftMcNair.

On 28 November 2019, Revive Lake Cathie again sought inclusion in Government Stakeholder Meetings. Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has advised that they have not reached a consensus view from the Government Stakeholders for the Revive Lake Cathie Board, Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce and Lake Cathie Progress Association to attend the Stakeholder meeting on 10/12/19. However, Revive Lake Cathie does acknowledge Council is seeking to have key government agencies attend a Community Stakeholder meeting on 16/12/19.

“The Port Macquarie-Hastings Council’s media release dated 16 September 2019, which is also on their website, titled “Working Together our Lake Innes/Lake Cathie Estuarine  System” sets the expectation of inclusion” says Revive Lake Cathie President, Danielle Maltman.
