04

Revive Lake Cathie seeks to achieve the sustainable health and amenity of the Lake Cathie/Lake Innes Estuarine System and Nature Reserve
Revive Lake Cathie supports the holistic approach proposed by Lake Cathie Lake Innes Estuarine System Stakeholders in Investigations to implement long-term remediation strategies starting with a review of decoupling Lake Innes and Lake Cathie, increasing the tidal flow under Kenwood Drive Bridge and system-wide dredging.
This approach, when implemented will create sustainable solutions to maximise Estuarine System biodiversity, environmental values and deliver improved water quality enabling our marine life to survive and for us all to enjoy.
Revive Lake Cathie seeks to make natural openings commonplace for our Lagoon & Lake. Revive Lake Cathie supports manual openings of Lake Cathie Lagoon to remedy flooding under guidance from stakeholders,
Maintaining water level to just below the flooding trigger point to protect Lake Cathie from the influx of acid sulfates from Lake Innes. Failing to address the acid sulfate problem risks the future water quality of our lakes and waterways and being able to enjoy the lake in any form.
Revive Lake Cathie Inc will continue to be “Voice Of The Lake”
